'या' प्रश्नाने लोकांना फुटला घाम; ट्विटर यूजर्सही झाले हैराण

तुम्हाला अक्षय कुमारच्या चित्रपटातील तो डायलॉग आठवतोय का? 'जब मैने जोडा, घटाया, गुणाकार किया और फिर भागाकार किया तो एक ही जवाब आया' आठवला का? भूल भुलैया चित्रपटातील हा डायलॉग नेटकऱ्यांना आता अगदी खरा वाटत आहे. आता तुम्हाला प्रश्न पडला असेल की, नक्की प्रकरण काय आहे? खरं तर ट्विटरवर एक प्रश्न व्हायरल होत आहे. ज्यामुळे जगभारातील लोक कन्फ्युज होत आहेत. प्रश्न हा आहे की, 8÷2 (2+2)=?  आता तुम्हीही पाहा, तुम्हाला जमतयं का? 

आपल्यापैकी बऱ्याचजणांचा गणिताशी छत्तीसचा आकडा असतो. अशातच अशी कोडी म्हणजे, डोक्याला तापचं, असं म्हणायला हरकत नाही. या गणितामुळे नेटकरी हैराण झाले आहेत. कारण या गणिताची वेगवेगळी उत्तरं शोधून काढली आहेत.

या गणितावरून नेटकऱ्यांमध्ये वादच व्हायचे बाकी होते. कारण काही नेटकऱ्यांचं म्हणणं होतं की, उत्तर एक येणार तर काहींचं म्हणणं होतं की, उत्तर 16 येणार.

You need to see the how bracket is created.
There can be two cases:

Case 1:
8 ÷ 2 x (2+2) = 8 ÷ 2 x 4 = 4 x 4 = 16

Case 2 (Given case):
8 ÷ 2(2+2) = 8 ÷ 2(4) = 8 ÷ 8 = 1

RULE is STEP-BY-STEP following of BODMAS (Bracket, Of, Divide, Multiply, Add, Subtract)

You will have to distribute the 2 first to get rid of parenthesis.
8/2(2)
2(2)=8
So now that the parenthesis is no longer on the equation you continue with PEMDAS from left to right
8/8=1
From what I recall the professor saying is multiplication always comes first.

distributive law isnt part of order of operations. can be done any time. When there are multiple integers being multiples.

(2)(4)(2+1) = 8(2+1) = 16 + 8 = 24
(2)(4)(2+1) = 2(8+4) = 16 + 8 = 24

Order doesn’t matter for distribution, but it does for PEMDAS. Thus 8/2 comes first.
