New labour laws would help industry to grow

Aurangabad, Nov 27:

"The industry welcomes the new labour laws as this would help industry to grow. There will be a lot of streamlining and less documentation. This will also help in generating manpower" said CMIA president Kamleish Dhoot while speaking at the webinar ''Overview of Labour Codes and its Impact'' jointly organised by Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA) with Ernst and Young (E&Y) LLP here recently.

Speaking further Dhoot said, "The new reforms regarding wages, social security and occupational safety and industrial disputes are welcoming step. The policies are framed properly for the benefit of the industries. He said 29 labour laws are subsumed into 4 labour codes to bring in simplicity." Associate partner, E&Y LLP Hiten Shah said "The new labour laws are going to bring a lot of changes in many organizations and hence it is necessary we would look at these labour reforms very closely to ensure that how it is going to impact every organization. We will have uniform definition, one registration, simplification of law and easier compliance."
