Covid Second Wave: AMC appeals citizens not to put lives of others in danger by acting irresponsibly in public
Aurangabad, Nov 27:
In connection with the hint of the second wave of the Coronavirus in India. The forthcoming three months, especially January and February, are dangerous and favourable for the spread of the virus. Hence taking appropriate protective measures (at home or in public) is need of the hour. Hence use of a facemask, maintain physical distance and hand wash (or sanitiser) will help to keep yourself and others safe from the Coronavirus stressed the municipal officer of health (MoH) Dr Neeta Padalkar.
Presently, 125 active Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals situated in the AMC jurisdiction. The drop in climate during the winter season is dangerous as well as of great concern for health administration. Do not ignore the guidelines given by the AMC administration as it helps prevent the ailment. The cool breeze is high in January and February compared to December. The cold climate encourages the virus to attack the target. This is the reason why the usage of AC was prohibited in the houses during the summer season.
The AMC is prepared to tackle the situation or second wave, said Dr Padalkar. The testing to trace Covid-19 patients is being increased. The liquid oxygen plant at Meltron Covid Care Centre (CCC) will be ready in a month. The other CCCs are also equipped with all the necessary treatment facilities. The AMC is on heels to make changes as per the demand of the situation. We all health officials and personnel are active under the leadership of the administrator Astik Kumar Pandey. Self-discipline is the key to stay safe from the Covid-19, said Dr Padalkar.
